Ceremonial keel laying of the fourth vessel of the 5000 DWT Eco Bulk carrier series for Misje Rederi AS of Norway took place at the Colombo Dockyard PLC premises on November 16, 2022.
The 89.95m long vessel with 5000DWT cargo capacity is equipped with modern Hybrid Energy Storage Battery System.
The vessels will be powered by a four-stroke engine and will be able to carry bulk cargo, grain, timber, unit loads and containers.
The eco-friendly vessels will emit lower emissions than the traditional bulk carriers.
